You can see for yourself on July 9th. The largest cycling event of the world is in Gernsbach. Experience the 100 year old mystique of the “Tour de France” as the 235 km long, 8 stage tour route from Pforzheim to Géradmer passes through Gernsbach. Experience the excitement as one of the first hill climbing stages takes place right in front of the “Hotel Nachtigall” on its winding way op to the “Müllenbild”.

In previous years, the Tour has passed through the “Papiermacherstadt”. In 1987, thousands of curious onlookers lined up along the stretch from Gernsbach to Staufenberg to cheer on such world-class cyclists as Didi Thurau and others.
