By car or camper

Autobahn (motorway) Karlsruhe – Basel (A5), excit Rastatt. Take B462 in direction Gaggenau/Gernsbach/Freudenstadt. Move about 15 km on this road, till you get to Gernsbach. Follow the signes, don’t drive into the tunnel. Drive staight ahead in direction „Stadtmitte“. You see the station and the post-office on your left. Drive straight on. At the traffic lights drive straight ahead. The next possibility turn left and than turn left again in direction Rastatt. Follow the railways. Use the first parking-lot on your left.

If you travel from Freudenstadt: Don’t enter the tunnel. Turn right in direction of “Historische Altstadt”. Follow the road in direction Rastatt. Follw the railways. Use the first parking lot on your left.

At some town entrances are information boards with town maps, so you can orientate.

Travelling by train

Gernsbach belongs to the „Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund“.You travel by train to Karlsruhe. From there to Gernsbach travel by train No S41. Use stops “Gernsbach Mitte” or “Gernsbach Bahnhof”. As well further information as an actual time table call KVV
